Housed in the former Madre de Deus Convent, founded in 1509 by Queen Leonor, the museum presents the history of tiles in Portugal from the late 15th century to the present day, as one of the most beautiful expressions of Portuguese culture. The beauty of this space full of tiles also allows visitors to see tiles still applied in the original spaces.
